The Transformation of Expo 2020
For the duration of the FIFA World Cup, Dubai will transform the location of Dubai’s Expo 2020 into a “Fan City,” complete with giant screens and various entertainment zones.
According to the information provided by the organisers, there will be two different zones available: one at Jubilee Park and a second “more deluxe experience” at Al Wasl.
Admissions and Tickets
The event will feature VIP and hospitality packages, and the starting price for admission is eight dollars (thirty UAE dirhams).
Tickets have yet to be made available for sale. When it is made available to the public, you can purchase it from the event ticketing provider Platinumlist.
Free admission is provided for children under the age of 12 years old.
Jubilee Park
According to the information provided by the organisers, the setup at Jubilee Park will consist of tabletop games, agility courses, penalty kick activations, foot volley courts, face-painting, and DJs spinning decks during the halftime break.
It can accommodate up to 10,000 guests and provides food from food trucks. A shisha lounge and a selection of alcoholic drinks will also be available.
On weekdays, the Jubilee Park zone will open at 5:00 p.m., but on weekends, it will be open at 12:00 p.m.
Al Wasl
According to information provided to the media, the Al Wasl venue will begin providing a “VIP guest experience” on December 3, which will be located under the iconic dome of the Expo City.
Live coverage of the matches will be provided on four enormous screens, and the Al Wasl will serve as the projection surface for the in-game graphics.
In addition, there will be entertainment both before and after the game at this event, as well as a ceremony to raise the flag and play the national anthems.
Under the dome, there is space for at least 2,500 people, not counting the VIP and VVIP packages.
The Al Wasl zone will open at 6:00 p.m., and ticket holders for the early game will have free access to Jubilee Park after the event.
The Expo City zones are an addition to the other areas in Dubai that have been set up for fans to watch the highly anticipated international football competition.
